Introduction

Hello! My name is Sandhana Rajesh, and I am a high school freshman at Egg Harbor Township High School.

I'm in my school's Medical Science Academy, with a passion for space biomedicine or astrobiology.

Extracurriculars

ROADS

Currently, I am the Lead Engineer and Co-Lead for my Rover Observation and Discoveries in Space team. In 2025, we won a fully-funded trip to Kennedy Space Center by completing the mission of the year (Artemis III) extremely well. We were 1/13 teams to go, 1/8 middle school teams to go, and the only team representing the East Coast to go out of the 300 teams initially involved in this competition.

Rutgers 4H STEM Ambassadors

I applied and was accepted as a Rutgers 4H STEM Ambassador, and I did a research project this summer examining if sex or age affected protein concentration in mice feces. I am planning to start an aerospace club in both my school and Atlantic County. I am also planning on developing an aerospace career curriculum because despite the FAA's proximity to youth in Atlantic County, many students are not aware of career opportunities within the aerospace field besides aerospace engineering and pilotry.
